I have run my independent CIS payroll company for about 12 years. It came about after having worked for a couple of larger companies previously for some ten years. I realised that a more personal, flexible, and focused service for contractor payroll solutions could make a difference.
By ensuring this close focus on the interests of our subcontractors and agency clients, we are pleased to be regarded as having the best payroll service for self employed workers and have an extremely high retention rate of those using our outsourced payroll services.
We are an intimate, family-run CIS payroll company; therefore, you will never have to deal with an impersonal call centre and will always have a regular point of contact to deal with your enquiries. Your working hours are rarely a standard 9 – 5 and neither are ours. You can read about our process here.

Dave Davies - Director and owner
I followed in my family’s footsteps by working in the financial markets, and my first job was at an International Bank in the City of London in the early 1980s. I loved the buzz of the City, and after a couple of years in banking, I moved to the trading floors of the Financial Futures Exchange. Think of the film Trading Places, YUPPIES, Braces, and Champagne Bars. I spent the next fifteen years or so as a broker for various banks. After my time on the trading floors ended, I became a National Sales Manager for 4 Securicor Group – again dealing mainly with the financial sector and taking responsibility for putting together multi-million-pound tenders for security services in the City. After almost ten years there, I got my first taste of the payroll market, employed as the National Sales Manager for a couple of companies responsible for developing new business and growth. After some twelve years of working for others, I decided there was a better way of doing things and started my own construction payroll business that has been running successfully for the last decade.
Outside of work, my passions are family life – five children and two grandchildren currently but expecting more. I enjoy walking on the Malvern Hills by my home with our four dogs, enjoying time chilling out in Cornwall and am a long-suffering lifetime supporter of Charlton Athletic FC.
Elise Reynolds - admin assistant & social media manager
I am a 30-year-old mother to a wonderful little boy. I have a busy lifestyle which revolves around running the payroll at Centurion and managing the social media content of several local Worcestershire businesses, while still being able to squeeze in taking numerous dance and fitness classes, which has always been a passion of mine. I love getting involved with local charities too. I try to always work with a smile on my face and have a positive outlook on life.
